This raindrop counting activity is a fun and engaging way to practice number recognition and counting! Made with cardboard, paint, twine, and pasta, this counting activity will have kids practice math skills while having fun. What You’ll Need For This Raindrop Counting Activity

How To Make This Raindrop Counting Activity
Add the dried pasta , blue paint, and a couple squirts of hand sanitizer to the sandwich bag. Seal the bag and move the pasta around in the bag to coat it.
Dump the pasta on parchment paper in an even layer and let it sit to dry.
Once the pasta is dry, cut a large cloud shape out of cardboard.

Paint the cloud white and let it dry completely.

Cut small slits along the bottom edge of the cloud.
Tie pieces of twine through each slit so they hang down.

Write a different number above each piece of twine.
Give kids the blue dyed pasta pieces.

Have children thread the correct number of pasta pieces onto each string to match the number above it.
