This raindrop counting activity is a fun and easy math activity for kids! Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers learning to count in a hands-on way.
● Cardboard
● White paint
● Paintbrush
● Blue dyed pasta
● Twine or yarn
● Scissors
● Marker
● Sandwich Bag
● Parchment Paper
● Blue Paint
1. Add the dried pasta, blue paint, and a couple squirts of hand sanitizer to the sandwich bag. Seal the bag and move the pasta around in the bag to coat it.
2. Dump the pasta on parchment paper in an even layer and let it sit to dry.
3. Cut a large cloud shape out of cardboard.
4. Paint the cloud white and let it dry completely.
5. Cut small slits along the bottom edge of the cloud.
6. Tie pieces of twine through each slit so they hang down.
7. Write a different number above each piece of twine.
8. Give kids the blue dyed pasta pieces.
9. Have children thread the correct number of pasta pieces onto each string to match the number above it.
