Benefits Of This Recycled Craft

This American flag craft does more than just look patriotic. Kids are actually building up developmental skills that will help them succeed in school and life, including:

  • Building fine motor skills: Glueing and painting the toilet paper rolls helps to build the muscles in the hands and fingers, which are essential for cutting and writing.
  • Creativity and expressionism: While most kids will go for the traditional American Flag look, kids can also get creative with their American flag. They can add glitter or use stickers for the stars, creating a patriotic craft that is uniquely theirs.
  • Color recognition and patterns: Kids will work on recognizing colors in a safe environment. Plus, they will only be working with three colors, which takes the stress out of trying to name 10+ colors. Kids will also work on patterns when creating the red and white stripes.
