Dip the Marshmallows: Lightly dip the marshmallows in water. Only a little water is needed for the sanding sugar to stick. Avoid over-saturating the marshmallows.

Build the Flag: Depending on the size of your dish, you may have more or less stripes on the flag. Turn the marshmallows sideway to fit more rows in your oven-safe dish.

Bake It: Bake the patriotic s’mores dip for about 10-12 minutes. Keep an eye on the dip as ever oven is different and it may cook faster or slower depending on your oven and rack placement. Pull the s’mores dip out when the marshmallows are lightly toasted. Leaving them in longer can burn them and will ruin the aesthetic of the dip.
