This fork painted bee craft is a simple and easy summer craft for kids. Made with just paint and construction paper, this bee craft is the perfect summer craft, summer art project, and rainy day craft.

I love making this bee craft with this Letter B Bee craft because they pair together perfectly. I also love having the kids make this honey bee slime as a fun sensory activity.

What You’ll Need To Make A Fork Painted Bee Craft
How To Make This Fork Painted Bee Craft
1. Prep the Paint
Add yellow paint to a paper plate or tray. This will be the “landing zone” for the fork.

2. Paint the Bee Body
Dip the back of a fork into the yellow paint. Press and drag it onto the blue paper in short strokes, forming an oval shape. Layer the strokes to create a full, fluffy-looking bee body. Let it dry.

3. Add the Stripes
Cut 3–4 curved strips from black construction paper. Glue them across the yellow painted body to create the bee’s stripes.
4. Create the Wings
Cut two wing shapes from white paper. Glue the wings at the top of the bee’s body, slightly overlapping the stripes.

5. Draw the Details
Use a black marker to add two curved antennae, a small eye, and a simple smile.

Variations For This Summer Craft

Make your fork painted bee craft extra special with these fun variations:
- Add gold glitter to the bee before it dries to create a shiny and sparkly bee.
- Instead of drawing on eyes, add googly eyes to the bee for a fun 3D effect.
- Paint a flower garden background before painting the bee.
- Make a bumblebee with black and orange stripes instead of yellow.
- Draw a little stinger with a marker after painting.
- Use a smaller fork to create a baby bee beside the big one.
