How To Make Apple Slice Cookies
To make this healthy snack for kids, start by slicing your apples. You’ll get about 3-4 slices per apple. You can choose to use an apple corer to remove only the core and the slice them into round slices. Or use the wide end of a piping tip to remove the core from the slice.
Soak the apples in lime juice for a few minutes.

Pat the apples dry.

Add a layer of peanut butter to each apple slice.

Top with chocolate chips, sweetened coconut, nuts, or anything else you like.

Important Recipe Notes

Soak the apples in lime juice. Soaking the apples helps keep them fresh and prevents them from turning brown quickly.
Serve immediately. These apple slice cookies should be served immediately. The lime juice will help them not turn brown, but they shouldn’t sit too long.
Pat the apples dry. The peanut butter will stick to the apple better if it’s dry. Too much water on the apples can cause the peanut butter to slide off.
Toppings. Choose any of your favorite toppings to add to these no-bake snacks.
Allergies. Swap out peanut butter for sunflower seed butter, pumpkin butter, or soy butter for a nut-free snack. Leave the nuts and coconut off the top of the cookies. Top with chocolate chips and other nut-free toppings.
