Dinosaurs are a hit in our family. We do dinosaur crafts, activities, and even dinosaur themed parties. So, my kids went crazy for this hatching dinosaur egg craft made from a recycled cardboard egg carton. These dinosaur eggs turned out so cute and the kids loved “hatching” them. How To Make A Dinosaur Egg Carton Craft

Cut the eggs
Cut out individual egg carton cups. Trim the edges so you have two matching halves for each “egg.”

Paint the shells
Paint the outside of each cup in your chosen color. Let them dry completely.

Add dino spots
Use a contrasting color to paint spots or patterns on the eggs. Think wild, speckled, and a little mysterious.

Add the surprise
Place a small toy dinosaur inside one of the cups.

Close the egg
Gently press the second cup on top to create a “hatching egg.” You can glue lightly if you want it sealed, or leave it easy to open for a fun reveal.
