Summer is here and it’s time for all the outdoor activities! I recently shared about this DIY sponge toss and this dinosaur sidewalk chalk obstacle course that the kids loved. So, I decided we would try this aluminum foil river water play activity and it was a hit! Kids will use aluminum foil to create a river filled with rubber duckies, decorative stones, and a cute floating frog!

How To Make This Aluminum Foil River Water Play Activity
Unroll a long sheet of aluminum foil and shape the edges upward to create a river channel.
Place the foil in the backyard on an even surface.
Fill the river with water.

Make simple boats by pushing a toothpick through a pool noodle slice and adding a small paper flag.
Add floating toys, rubber ducks, frogs, or glass gems to decorate the river.
Let kids float the boats downstream, race different objects, or create adventures for their river animals.

Experiment with adding more water or creating obstacles for the boats to navigate.
