This turkey headband craft is an adorable Thanksgiving craft for kids! Made from construction paper and glue, kids will make their very own turkey headband to wear on Thanksgiving Day. This Thanksgiving headband is perfect for at-home crafting and as a classroom Thanksgiving activity.

How To Make A Turkey Headband Craft
1. Make the Headband: Cut two long strips of brown construction paper. Glue or tape the strips together to create one long strip. Wrap it around the child’s head and glue it so it fits comfortably.
2. Make the Turkey Face: Cut out two white circles for the eyes. Use a black marker to draw pupils in the center of each circle.
3. Make the Beak: Cut out a small triangle from orange construction paper for the turkey’s beak.
4. Add the Face: Glue the eyes and orange beak onto the front of the brown headband.
5. Add the Feathers: Cut several feather shapes from fall-colored construction paper. Glue the feathers along the top of the headband, arranging them in a fan shape.
6. Let It Dry: Allow the glue to dry completely before placing the turkey headband on the child’s head.
Fun Variations For This Turkey Headband Craft
Add more feathers to the turkey to make it look fuller.
Use a stapler for the brown headband. Staple it backward, so the bottom part of the staple (with the sharp prongs) face outward. This prevents any injury to kids or their hair getting pulled.
Experiment with the turkey’s eyes. Can you make a different expression using on the turkey’s eyes?
