Make a fun turkey headband craft with kids! This easy, budget-friendly Thanksgiving project is perfect for building fine motor skills.

Materials

  • Brown construction paper
  • White construction paper
  • Orange construction paper
  • Fall-colored construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black marker

Instructions

  1. Make the Headband: Cut two long strips of brown construction paper. Glue or tape the strips together to create one long strip. Wrap it around the child’s head and glue it so it fits comfortably.
  2. Make the Turkey Face: Cut out two white circles for the eyes. Use a black marker to draw pupils in the center of each circle.
  3. Make the Beak: Cut out a small triangle from orange construction paper for the turkey’s beak.
  4. Add the Face: Glue the eyes and orange beak onto the front of the brown headband.
  5. Add the Feathers: Cut several feather shapes from fall-colored construction paper. Glue the feathers along the top of the headband, arranging them in a fan shape.
  6. Let It Dry: Allow the glue to dry completely before placing the turkey headband on the child’s head.
