We Used to Be Friends reminds us that not all frie We Used to Be Friends reminds us that not all friendships last forever. Some of them run their course and that’s perfectly okay.

We follow a girl who has had a falling out with her friend. Now when she sees certain things, like her friend’s house or the stop sign they used to meet at, her stomach flips.

Her dad tells her that some friendships just end, but that doesn’t stop her from being mad. She doubts she will ever have a friend again.

She meets new friends in the park, joins the science club, and takes gymnastics class. She doesn’t know if they’ll ever be friends again, but her stomach doesn’t flip anymore when she walks by her old friend’s house.

This is a story everyone needs in their library. We all know that sometimes friendships run their course. Yes, we feel sad and sometimes mad about it, but as time goes on we meet new friends and the pain and sadness doesn’t hurt as much. It’s such a beautiful book to help kids through all the emotions they feel after a friendship ends.

Many thanks to @candlewickpress for sending me a copy of the book!

Cameron was having a very boring day. He didn’t kn Cameron was having a very boring day. He didn’t know what to do when suddenly, he’s transported to Boredom.

He thinks Boredom is very dull and wants to go home. But Boris, a big blue monster in Boredom, won’t tell Cameron how to get home. Cameron tries to find the way himself, but the more he looks, the more bored he becomes.

Boris helps him find things to do, like check out the plants, look at a clock, and watch the paint dry. But, things aren’t always as they seem. The leaves had shapes and were filled with giant eyed creatures and the paint made the perfect swimming pool.

This is such a fun book about the imagination of kids! Kids get bored all the time and it’s the perfect opportunity to let them use their imagination (and stay screen-free)! The illustrations are adorable and really bring Cameron’s curiosity to life.

Grab The Boredom Monster today & watch your child’s boredom spark curiosity and creativity!

Many thanks to @pubspotlight for sending me a copy of the book🫶🏼
