The Old Sleigh is a beautiful story about community, tradition, and simple acts of giving.💚

In a small town, an old sleigh delivers firewood to the townspeople, bringing light and warmth to the community. But, small towns get bigger and bigger. Now, the old sleigh can’t keep up and breaks. As the father fixes it, the son takes the broken piece and makes his own sleigh to use.

This is such a sweet story about caring for your community and generational traditions. It is a great book to get kids thinking about their family traditions and what they can do to support their community.

@mr.adamrex puts a hilarious twist on the 12 days of christmas in his newest book!

Our main character’s love couldn’t be with him for Christmas and he tries really hard to like the gifts she sends him.

It starts with a partridge. And a pear tree. He didn’t really want a bird, but he loves it because his true love sent it. And, well, you know the rest.

The 13th day of Christmas is chaotic. His house is full of birds, drummers, maids, dancers, and more. He calls his true love and tells her he didn’t like her gift. Aaaand she hangs up on him.

He goes to visit his mom and is followed by the 12 days of christmas. Everywhere he goes, they follow, until it turns into a parade, bringing smiles to the faces of everyone. They baked cakes, started a circus, donated books to the library, and soon he realizes the joy that comes with his gifts.

This was such a fun story to read! It was so funny and it’s such a cool twist on the twelve days of Christmas! Adam Rex always has the funniest stories and this one is definitely a new favorite of mine!
