This rainbow streamer craft is perfect if you’re looking for a recycled craft, an easy summer craft, or a rainbow craft. I love pairing this craft with this Froot Loop rainbow snack because I love creating themed snack to accompany our crafts. Kids can paint the rainbow on the cardboard and make their Froot Loop snack while it dries.

Notes and Variations

Let the paint dry. Ensure the paint is fully dry before cutting the slit and adding the streamers.

Experiment with shapes. Don’t want to make a rainbow? You can cut and decorate the cardboard in any way. Create a dinosaur or a flower – just make sure you have the matching colored streamers for it!

Add glitter. Glitter makes everything better (even though it’s a parent’s worst nightmare). My kids love glitter, so I always let them use it, even if I have to clean up glitter for weeks. Add some glitter to the cardboard rainbow to make it pop!
