Supplies

- Starburst candies (approximately 15 of each color)
- Powdered sugar
- Coconut oil (or substitute cooking oil if needed)
- Microwave-safe bowls (one for each color)
- Spoon
- Measuring spoons and cups
Directions

1. Unwrap approximately 15 Starburst candies of the same color and place them into a microwave-safe bowl. Repeat with each color, placing them in separate bowls.

2. Add ¾ teaspoon of coconut oil to one of the bowls of candy.
3. Microwave the Starburst and oil for 20 seconds. Stir, then microwave for an additional 30 seconds or until melted and smooth.

4. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar to the melted candy mixture and stir to begin forming the slime.
5. Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, knead it with your hands.
6. Gradually knead in up to ½ tablespoon more powdered sugar until the slime becomes stretchy and pliable. Be careful not to add too much or it will become stiff.

7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the remaining colors of Starburst.
8. Once all your slimes are ready, stretch, squish, twist, and enjoy.
Tips for Success

- Microwave times may vary, so melt the candy in short intervals and stir frequently to avoid burning.
- Do not overdo the powdered sugar—adding too much will make the slime crumbly rather than stretchy.
- If the slime becomes too firm, place it back in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds to soften.
- Let the candy mixture cool slightly before kneading to avoid burns.
Variations

- Mix two colors together after kneading for a marbled effect.
- Add edible glitter or sprinkles before kneading for a fun texture.
- Use different flavored candies like Jolly Ranchers or Taffy for new variations (adjust microwave times accordingly).
Storage
This edible slime is recommended for one-time use. If you must store it temporarily, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and store at room temperature for no more than a few hours. Discard after use.
