Hogbert lives in the forest with his mom and 5 siblings. They all go out to explore the forest and their mother reminds them to stay together so the big bad wolf doesn’t get them. Hogbert follows a tasty trail and soon ends up lost! He continues on, trying to find his family and meets many other animals who are searching for their families, too. Will Hogbert be able to get everyone home safely before the big bad wolf gets them? These illustrations are so beautiful!! @brionymaysmith did such an amazing job on them! This book is so sweet and is perfect for teaching kids about kindness and friendship. Interrupting Chicken is back and he’s doing what Interrupting Chicken is back and he’s doing what he does best… INTERRUPTING! The little red chicken and his papa are going to see the nutcracker over winter vacation! Chicken promises to be on his best behavior and not to interrupt. The ballet starts with a big Christmas party. Everyone is dressed in their finest, but the most magical guest to arrive was… LITTLE RED CHICKEN FROM THE THIRD ROW! How did Chicken get on stage?! Again and again Chicken interrupts the show, even when he promises not to. The show is starting to come to a close but the nutcracker is no where to be found! Who will save the show? Maybe someone who likes to… interrupt? We all LOVE the Interrupting Chicken books but this one is by far my favorite because it’s Christmas themed! This is a great book to read in December to remind your kiddos not to interrupt (right when they need reminding the most). This will definitely be a class favorite and your kiddos will want to read it over and over again, just like the other books in the series! From BAM to BURP! is such a fun book exploring a c From BAM to BURP! is such a fun book exploring a carbon atom’s never ending journey. The story begins long ago, with a planet called Theia. 4.5 billion years ago, Theia collided with Earth and burst into pieces. Lots of pieces, including carbon atoms, plunged deep into the Earth. When the carbon atoms attracted two oxygen atoms, they formed CO2. The atom is thrown out of a volcano when it erupts and travels with the wind before being sucked up by a cycad. From here, it’s eaten by a hungry Mamenchisaurus. Throughout time, the atom keeps on moving and moving. Follow along in From BAM to BURP! to see just where this atom will end up! This is such a fun read to explain atoms to kids and how they make up all matter. I really enjoyed following the atom’s journey through millions and millions of years (a journey that will continue forever) and the different ways it enters and exits living things. This book was inspired by questions the author got from a third grader during a school visit, which prompted her to write this book!
