Are Spiderwebs stronger than steel? A spider’s m Are Spiderwebs stronger than steel?

A spider’s most powerful asset is their web. They are strong and sticky to catch unsuspecting prey. But, just how strong are spider webs? We’ve used spider silk for stitches and fishing lines, so we know it’s very strong. It can be stretched and pulled without breaking. Grab this book today to see if spider webs really are stronger than steel.

I personally don’t like spiders, but it was so fascinating to read all about them! This series does such a great job explaining fun topics in a way that kids can understand. Make sure to check out the entire series, because all the books are amazing!

Beautiful Blackbird is a tale from the Ila- speaki Beautiful Blackbird is a tale from the Ila- speaking people of Zambia.

A long time ago, the bird of Africa were all colors, but none of them had any marks of black. All of the birds through that blackbird was the most beautiful and wanted to be colored black like him. Blackbird colors all the birds with stripes and dots of white.

This is such a beautiful story about appreciating one’s heritage. It teaches that one’s beauty comes from within and that you don’t have to look like others to be beautiful.
