Have you ever disagreed about a tree? I love a pin Have you ever disagreed about a tree? I love a pink christmas but not everyone else does😂

We Disagree About This Tree is a funny story about friendship & opinions. Our two main characters both have different opinions on how to decorate the tree. Mouse wants big baubles, tinsel, and a manatee fairy while Polar Bear wants allllll the glitter & brightness, candles, and an upside down tree. Even if these two can’t agree on a tree, they can agree on one thing: their friendship. 🩷

This is the cutest board book to read this December (or earlier😉). It’s such a fun story and teaches about the beauty of friendship. These two crazy animals are also in other books in the series, so make sure you check those out, too!

Many thanks to @candlewickpress for sending me a copy of the book🎄

From BAM to BURP! is such a fun book exploring a c From BAM to BURP! is such a fun book exploring a carbon atom’s never ending journey.

The story begins long ago, with a planet called Theia. 4.5 billion years ago, Theia collided with Earth and burst into pieces. Lots of pieces, including carbon atoms, plunged deep into the Earth. When the carbon atoms attracted two oxygen atoms, they formed CO2. The atom is thrown out of a volcano when it erupts and travels with the wind before being sucked up by a cycad. From here, it’s eaten by a hungry Mamenchisaurus. Throughout time, the atom keeps on moving and moving.

Follow along in From BAM to BURP! to see just where this atom will end up!

This is such a fun read to explain atoms to kids and how they make up all matter. I really enjoyed following the atom’s journey through millions and millions of years (a journey that will continue forever) and the different ways it enters and exits living things. This book was inspired by questions the author got from a third grader during a school visit, which prompted her to write this book!

Many thanks to @charlesbridgepublishing for sending by me a copy of the book🩷🙌🏼

“Do you have a special moment? A memory so real “Do you have a special moment? A memory so real and strong you carry it with you? A feeling that makes you pause and wonder? A time that makes you feel alive?”

This is my new favorite book for Día de los Muertos! It’s such a beautiful story about feeling the joy of life. Being present in the moment allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of life and the special moments with those around you.

On Día de los Muertos, we follow a boy as he goes to school, paints, finds courage as he goes on stage, appreciates the nature’s wildness, gets lost in a book, works hard in the garden, and comes together with family and friends, all while enjoying each and every moment. He’s able to find joy everywhere in his life and it’s such an inspiring story!

I hope that you take time today, and every day, to enjoy these special moments in your life🩷

Many thanks to @simonkids for sending me a copy of this book🩷

What is your favorite fairy tale? I loved Rapunz What is your favorite fairy tale?

I loved Rapunzel (mostly because I love watching Tangled) but I also really love Hansel and Gretel!

These three fairy tale books are so fun and it was great reading new fairy tales that I’ve never heard of!

Grimms’ Fairy Tales includes 20 fairy tales & I’m embarrassed to admit that there were quite a few I’ve never heard of (like Jordina and Joringel, Mother Hollie, and more🙈 But it also has a lot of classics like Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots, Rumpelstiltskin, and Cinderella.

This is my first time reading The Witch in the Tower and it was such a fun book! Carmela is feeling lost and lonely so decides to go on a walk. She stumbles upon a tower, and meets witch who helps Carmela discover the power within herself.

The Boy, the Troll, and the Chalk is a classroom favorite! Deep in a cave lives a troll who yells at everyone to leave him alone - something everyone listens to, except one boy. The boy draws a flower with chalk outside the cave, leaving a piece of chalk and one petal uncolored. When the boy returns the next day, the petal had been colored in. Slowly, the boy and the troll build a friendship unlike any other.

I love fairy tales mostly for the great stories but they are also amazing for teaching about kindness, compassion, and self-love. These three books are stories that kids everywhere will love!

Many thanks to @candlewickpress for sending me copies of the books! 🩷
