Sunrise Sail follows a boy and his grandpa going s Sunrise Sail follows a boy and his grandpa going sailing early in the morning. It’s a particularly interesting book because every word of the story starts with the letter S. After the boy and his grandfather set sail, they find a stowaway - a dog! The dog joins them on their sail before they dock and have a picnic for lunch. A sudden squall forces them to take shelter and when it’s over, the boat is gone! How will they get their sailboat back? This was such a fun story! I loved that every word started with S - it makes it more creative and unique! This whole book is focused on serendipity- when something that wasn’t supposed to happen turns out to be a good thing. It’s a great read aloud & perfect for teaching about alliteration.
