“Do you have a special moment? A memory so real “Do you have a special moment? A memory so real and strong you carry it with you? A feeling that makes you pause and wonder? A time that makes you feel alive?”

This is my new favorite book for Día de los Muertos! It’s such a beautiful story about feeling the joy of life. Being present in the moment allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of life and the special moments with those around you.

On Día de los Muertos, we follow a boy as he goes to school, paints, finds courage as he goes on stage, appreciates the nature’s wildness, gets lost in a book, works hard in the garden, and comes together with family and friends, all while enjoying each and every moment. He’s able to find joy everywhere in his life and it’s such an inspiring story!

I hope that you take time today, and every day, to enjoy these special moments in your life🩷

Many thanks to @simonkids for sending me a copy of this book🩷

What is your favorite fairy tale? I loved Rapunz What is your favorite fairy tale?

I loved Rapunzel (mostly because I love watching Tangled) but I also really love Hansel and Gretel!

These three fairy tale books are so fun and it was great reading new fairy tales that I’ve never heard of!

Grimms’ Fairy Tales includes 20 fairy tales & I’m embarrassed to admit that there were quite a few I’ve never heard of (like Jordina and Joringel, Mother Hollie, and more🙈 But it also has a lot of classics like Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots, Rumpelstiltskin, and Cinderella.

This is my first time reading The Witch in the Tower and it was such a fun book! Carmela is feeling lost and lonely so decides to go on a walk. She stumbles upon a tower, and meets witch who helps Carmela discover the power within herself.

The Boy, the Troll, and the Chalk is a classroom favorite! Deep in a cave lives a troll who yells at everyone to leave him alone - something everyone listens to, except one boy. The boy draws a flower with chalk outside the cave, leaving a piece of chalk and one petal uncolored. When the boy returns the next day, the petal had been colored in. Slowly, the boy and the troll build a friendship unlike any other.

I love fairy tales mostly for the great stories but they are also amazing for teaching about kindness, compassion, and self-love. These three books are stories that kids everywhere will love!

Many thanks to @candlewickpress for sending me copies of the books! 🩷

The Turquoise Butterfly is a beautiful story about The Turquoise Butterfly is a beautiful story about love, loss, and transformation, much like a butterfly!

Victoria is going to Grandma’s house this summer. While Grandma flutters through her garden, excited for Victoria’s visit, Victoria’s belly flutters with nerves.

Grandma and Victoria have lots of adventures, like visiting the duck pond, going to the library, and walking shelter dogs!

Through their adventures, Victoria’s belly still flutters, but she is learning how to adapt. After Victoria goes back home, her belly flutters turn excited as she making plans for new adventures with Grandma.

The next summer, they did all the things on Victoria’s list, but her belly still fluttered as she worried about Grandma. After she returns home, Victoria’s grandmother passed away.

Next summer, Victoria goes to camp. Her belly flutters and twists with nerves. When she sees a turquoise butterfly, she knows her grandmother is there with her🩵🦋

This is such a powerful story that should be in all libraries! It is great for kids who recently lost a loved one and kids who also get belly flutters when they are nervous. It’s such a great way to help kids navigate uncomfortable emotions and overcome them.

I also really loved that this book portrays the power of being present (and NOT on screens) and the beautiful bond between different generations of family.

The author, Dale Atkins, is a former “Today Show” expert and a psychologist. She did such an amazing job on this book and I know it will help many kiddos through tough times.

Many thanks to @booktrib for sending me a copy of the book! 🩵🦋

Do you have a sticky hermana (or hermano)? Growi Do you have a sticky hermana (or hermano)?

Growing up with two older sisters, I was the “sticky hermana” I’d always feel so left out if they did things without me😂

This is such a beautiful story about the love between siblings, but also the challenges that can arise. Claudia’s sister Mónica follows Claudia EVERYWHERE and wants to do EVERYTHING Claudia does! When Claudia has a big tournament to go to, Mónica wants to go to. How can Claudia show up with a sticky hermana?!

Grab Sticky Hermana at your local bookstore to see how these sisters make up (and the HILARIOUS ending!!😂)

Many thanks to @charlesbridgepublishing for sending me a copy of the book! 🩷
