This dinosaur sensory bin for kids is a hands-on activity that combines sensory play with kids’ favorite animals – dinos! It’s easy to set up & budget-friendly.

Materials

     Water

     Blue food coloring

     Pool noodle

     Knife (adult use only)

     Small toy dinosaurs

     Drink umbrellas

Instructions

1.   Fill the bin
Add water to a bin, leaving space at the top to avoid spills.

2.   Make it bright blue
Add a few drops of blue food coloring and stir until you get a vibrant “pool” effect.

3.   Create floating islands
Carefully cut the pool noodle into thick slices (about 1–2 inches wide). These will float on the water like mini rafts.

4.   Add the dinosaurs
Place one toy dinosaur on top of each pool noodle slice.

5.   Add shade umbrellas
Stick a drink umbrella into each noodle slice to give the dinos a fun “poolside” vibe.

6.   Play and explore
Let kids move the floating dinos, splash the water, and create their own prehistoric pool party!
