How To Make This Star Wars Craft
1. Fold a piece of white construction paper in half. Create an outline of half a Darth Vader hat on the folded piece of paper. Cut along the lines you drew and open the template.

2. Place the template over a black piece on construction paper and trace it. Cut the black construction paper along the lines.

3. Cut one corner of the discarded black construction paper into a triangle.
4. Using another piece of white construction paper, draw the framing for Darth Vader’s mask (looks like a rounded uppercase M) as well as the eyes, nose, and mouth bars.

5. Place the mouth bars over the triangle cut from the black construction paper.

6. To the black mask, glue the white outline, eyes, and black triangle. Once the black triangle is in place, attach the nose hole and circles at the corners of the triangle.
7. Allow the mask to dry completely.

8. When you are ready to assemble as a hat, cut two inch strips from black construction paper. Measure the child’s head and create a circle to fit. Glue the strips to hold the circle closed.
9. Attach the mask to the circular loop for the child to wear.
Variations For This Darth Vader Craft

Turn it into a mask. Turn this hat into a mask by attaching the top of the mask to the black strips of construction paper and cut out holes for the eyes instead of using construction paper. You can also cut out strips Then, kids can wear the hat as a mask and see out of it.
Decorate it. Kids can take this traditional Darth Vader mask and decorate it however they want. Add glitter, sparkles, or keep it plain. It’s up to you!
