Materials
- White cardstock or notebook
- Black washable paint
- Paintbrush
- White paint marker
- Baby wipes or paper towels
Instructions
- Paint the entire hand with black washable paint, covering the palm, thumb, and fingers with an even coat.
- Press the painted hand firmly onto a sheet of paper with the fingers spread slightly apart. Carefully lift the hand straight up to leave a clean handprint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- Once the paint has dried, use a white paint marker or white permanent marker to draw the bones inside each finger. Use short sections to represent individual finger bones.
- Draw long white lines extending through the center of the palm to create the hand bones.
- Add several small white ovals near the base of the palm to represent the wrist bones.
- Draw a few white bone details inside the thumb to complete the X-ray effect.
- Write “X is for X-ray” across the top of the page with a black marker to finish the alphabet craft.
