Create a T is for Turtle Handprint by stamping a green handprint and adding a turtle shell. It’s an easy Letter T alphabet craft for kids.

Materials

  • White cardstock or notebook
  • Green washable paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Markers
  • Baby wipes or paper towels for cleanup

Instructions

  1. Paint the entire hand with green washable paint, including the fingers and palm.
  2. Turn the hand so the fingers are pointing downward and the thumb sticks straight out to the side. Press the painted hand firmly onto the paper, then carefully lift straight up to create a clean handprint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  3. Using the green paint, add a large round circle around the thumb to create the turtle’s head. Let this dry before adding facial details.
  4. With a green marker that is a darker shade, draw a curved shell over the palm of the handprint. Follow the shape of the palm.
  5. Draw oval spots all over the shell.
  6. Draw two small eyes and a smiling mouth using a black marker to give the turtle a friendly expression.
