Materials

  • White paper or notebook
  • Red washable paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Green marker or green paint
  • Black marker
  • Paper towels
  • Washable surface covering

Instructions

Step 1: Paint the Hand

Cover the palm and fingers with red paint. Make sure the entire hand is evenly coated so the strawberry shape prints clearly onto the paper.

Step 2: Stamp the Handprint

Press the painted hand firmly onto the paper with the fingers together and pointing downward. Carefully lift the hand to reveal the print.

Allow the paint to dry completely before adding details.

Step 3: Draw the Leaves

Using green paint or a green marker, draw several leaves at the top of the handprint. Position the leaves where the top of the strawberry would naturally be.

Step 4: Add the Stem

Draw a short green stem extending upward from the center of the leaves.

Step 5: Draw the Seeds

Use a black marker to add small oval-shaped seeds, spaced regularly across the red handprint.

Step 6: Write the Letter S Phrase

Write “S is for Strawberry” beneath the artwork to complete the alphabet activity.
