Make a fun LEGO pizza activity with kids! This creative, hands-on project is perfect for building fine motor skills and imaginative play.

Materials

  • Cardboard
  • Red paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • LEGO bricks
  • Marker
  • Cardboard or cardstock for a recipe guide

Instructions

  1. Cut large circles from cardboard to create pizza crusts.
  2. Paint a large red circle in the center of each cardboard pizza to represent the pizza sauce, leaving a brown border around the edge for the crust. Allow the paint to dry completely.
  3. Create a simple topping guide on a piece of cardboard or cardstock:
    • 🟡 Yellow = Cheese
    • 🔴 Red = Pepperoni
    • 🟢 Green = Peppers
    • âš« Black = Olives
  4. Gather LEGO bricks in the matching colors and place them in small piles or containers.
  5. Give children a pizza “recipe” to follow, such as:
    • 4 red pepperoni
    • 6 yellow cheese
    • 3 green peppers
    • 2 black olives
  6. Have kids build their pizza by placing the correct LEGO pieces on top of the cardboard crust.
  7. Once they’ve completed a recipe, encourage them to create their own custom pizzas using their imagination. They can even name their pizza creations and “serve” them to family or friends during pretend play.
