Build a LEGO maze for cars with kids! This fun, hands-on STEM activity encourages creativity and problem-solving using simple LEGO bricks.

Materials

  • LEGO baseplate
  • Assorted LEGO bricks
  • Small LEGO or toy cars

Instructions

  1. Place a large LEGO baseplate on a flat surface.
  2. Use LEGO bricks to create the walls of your maze. Leave enough space between the walls for a toy car to fit through.
  3. Design winding roads with turns, intersections, dead ends, and one clear path to the finish.
  4. Add a starting point and a finish line using bricks.
  5. Place a toy car at the starting line and carefully drive it through the maze without crashing into the walls.
  6. When you’ve completed the course, redesign the maze with new routes and challenges for endless play.
