This LEGO math towers activity is a fun, hands-on way to practice counting and number sense! Perfect for preschool or early elementary math practice.

Materials

  • Foam numbers (or number cards)
  • LEGO bricks in matching colors
  • A flat building surface

Instructions

  1. Lay out the foam numbers on a table or floor.
  2. Place LEGO bricks nearby.
  3. Have your child choose a foam number.
  4. Find LEGO bricks that match the color of the chosen number.
  5. Count out the correct number of bricks.
  6. Stack the bricks to build a tower with exactly that many LEGO pieces.
  7. Repeat with the remaining numbers until every number has a matching tower.
