Make a colorful lego brick suncatcher with kids! This easy, budget-friendly craft is perfect for exploring color, light, and creativity.

Materials

  • Colored cardstock
  • Tissue paper
  • Clear contact paper
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Cut a large rectangle from colored cardstock.
  2. Cut out the center of the rectangle, leaving a border to create a LEGO brick frame.
  3. Cut six circles from cardstock and arrange them in two rows of three to look like the studs on a LEGO brick.
  4. Place a sheet of contact paper on your work surface with the sticky side facing up.
  5. Arrange the cardstock frame and the six circles on the contact paper.
  6. Cut tissue paper into small squares.
  7. Fill the inside of the rectangle with overlapping tissue paper squares until the opening is covered.
  8. Place a second sheet of contact paper over the top to seal the tissue paper inside.
  9. Trim away the excess contact paper around the edges.
