Materials

     Black construction paper

     White construction paper

     Yellow construction paper

     Scissors

     Glue stick or school glue

Instructions

Step 1: Cut Out the Letter N

Draw a large uppercase N on black construction paper. The letter should be thick enough to hold the glued shapes without bending.

Carefully cut out the letter N. Adults can assist younger preschoolers with this step if needed.

Step 2: Cut the White Cloud

Draw a fluffy cloud shape on white construction paper. Encourage rounded bumps to create a soft cloud outline.

Cut out the cloud shape. The cloud can sit near the top or middle of the letter.

Step 3: Cut the Yellow Star and Moon

Draw a five-pointed star on yellow construction paper. Next, draw a crescent moon shape.

Cut out both shapes. The moon should be large enough to stand out clearly against the black background, while the star can be slightly smaller.

Step 4: Glue the Shapes to the Letter N

Arrange the shapes before gluing.

Glue the white cloud near the top or center of the N.

Glue the yellow moon toward one upper corner.

Glue the yellow star near the opposite side.

Press each piece firmly so it adheres smoothly to the letter.

Once dry, the nighttime N is complete.
