Materials

     Green construction paper

     Yellow construction paper

     Black construction paper

Colored construction paper for eyes (blue, orange, purple, or any choice)

     Child-safe scissors

     Glue stick or school glue

Instructions

Follow these step-by-step instructions to create the monster:

1. Cut Out the Green Letter M

Draw and cut a large uppercase letter M from green construction paper. The letter should be thick enough to hold decorations.

2. Create the Yellow Teeth

Cut several small yellow triangles. These triangles will serve as teeth. Aim for evenly sized shapes, though slight variation adds character.

3. Cut the Eye Stalks

From black construction paper, cut four long rectangles. These should be narrow and tall enough to extend above the top of the letter M.

4. Make the Eyes

Cut four large circles from colored paper. These are the monster’s eyes.
Next, cut four smaller circles for the pupils from another contrasting color.

5. Attach the Teeth

Glue the yellow triangles along the inside edges of the letter M. Position them facing inward to form a jagged “mouth”.

6. Add the Eye Stalks

Glue the four black rectangles to the top of the letter M so they extend upward.

7. Assemble the Eyes

Glue the large circles to the top ends of the black rectangles. Then glue the smaller circles inside the larger circles to form pupils.

Allow the craft to dry completely before displaying.
