Make an F is for Fox paper craft with preschoolers. This letter F craft builds phonics, fine motor skills, and alphabet recognition through hands-on learning.
● Orange construction paper
● White construction paper
● Black construction paper
● Scissors
● Glue stick or school glue
● Pencil
Cut a large letter F from orange construction paper. The letter should be wide enough so it is sturdy enough to support the added pieces. This orange F forms the fox’s body and head.
Step 2: Create the TailCut a large tail shape from orange construction paper. The tail should be wide and slightly pointed at the end.
From white construction paper, cut a shape matching the tail, with a jagged or curved end opposite the point to serve as the white tip of the fox’s tail.
Step 3: Cut the EarsCut two triangle shapes from orange construction paper for the fox’s ears. Keep them proportionate to the top of the letter F.
Step 4: Make the EyesCut two white circles from white construction paper for the eyes.
Then cut two smaller black circles from black construction paper for the pupils.
Step 5: Cut the NoseCut a small rounded triangle or oval from black construction paper for the nose.
Step 6: Assemble the Fox CraftGlue the orange tail to the back of the letter F, positioning it along the lower side of the letter.
Glue the white tail tip onto the end of the orange tail.
Attach the triangle ears to the top of the letter F so they peek up like fox ears.
Glue the white circles onto the upper portion of the letter F for eyes. Add the black pupils on top of the white circles.
Glue the black nose beneath the eyes along the horizontal bar of the F.
Once dry, the letter F craft is complete and ready for display.
