How To Make No-Bake Flower Cookies For Kids

Recipe by stacie

Turn an ordinary afternoon into something sweet with these no-bake vanilla wafer flower cookies, topped with frosting and pastel candies.

Ingredients

     Vanilla wafer cookies

     White frosting (store-bought or homemade)

     Pastel M&M’s

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Base
Lay vanilla wafer cookies out flat, bottom-side up on a plate or tray. Each cookie will be the foundation for a flower design.

Step 2: Add the Frosting
Spread a layer of white frosting across the flat side of each cookie. The frosting should be thick enough to hold the candy pieces in place, but not so thick that it overwhelms the cookie.

Step 3: Create the Flower Center
Place one yellow M&M in the middle of the frosted cookie. This forms the center of the flower.

Step 4: Build the Petals
Arrange additional pastel M&M’s around the yellow center. Position them in a circular pattern so they resemble petals. Pink, purple, and blue candies create a soft spring palette. About four or five petals per cookie looks best.

Step 5: Let Them Set
Allow the cookies to sit for a few minutes so the frosting firms slightly. This helps keep the candy pieces secure when serving.
