Turn pudding cups into mini gardens with flower pot parfait cups. This spring treat for kids combines a sweet snack with a colorful flower craft.
Ingredients:
Supplies:
Start with unopened chocolate pudding cups. Remove the lids and set them aside. These cups are the “flower pots,” so building the spring treat for kids right inside them helps create that garden-inspired look.
Sprinkle a handful of mini marshmallows directly on top of the pudding. This layer adds a soft texture beneath the “soil” and creates a small surprise with each spoonful. Spread the marshmallows evenly so they form a full layer across the surface.
Place Oreo cookies into a blender or food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. The goal is a texture that resembles soft dirt. Avoid large chunks so the top layer looks smooth and consistent.
Once the cookies are crushed, spoon the crumbs over the marshmallow layer. Cover the entire surface so the marshmallows are hidden underneath, creating the illusion of a real flower pot filled with soil.
Choose a pipe cleaner color for each flower. Bend and twist it into petal shapes, forming loops that resemble a simple daisy. Five or six loops create a full look without getting too crowded. This typically requires about two pipe cleaners.
Take a plastic spoon and apply glue to the back of the pipe cleaner petals. Press the petals onto the top end of the spoon handle, securing them in place. Hold briefly to allow the glue to set.
Next, add a yellow pom pom to the center of the petals. This creates the classic flower center and brings the design together. Press gently so it adheres well.
Insert the decorated spoon into the pudding cup, pushing it down into the cookie “soil.” Adjust the angle so the flower stands upright. The spoon is now a decoration and utensil.
Each cup is now a mini flower pot, complete with a bright, handmade bloom rising from the center.
