How To Make Easter Basket Pudding Cups

Recipe by stacie

These Easter basket pudding cups are a kid-friendly Easter dessert that kids can make! They are made with vanilla pudding cups, edible Easter grass, a peeps bunny, mini cadbury eggs, and topped with a twizzler to look like the handle of the basket.

  • Total Time10 minutes
  • Yield1 Easter Basket Pudding Cup 1x

Ingredients

  • Vanilla pudding cups
  • Peeps bunny marshmallows
  • Green edible Easter grass (edible shredded candy grass)
  • Twizzlers
  • Chocolate mini eggs or candy-coated eggs

Instructions

1. Open the Pudding Cups

Start by opening the lid on each vanilla pudding cup. Smooth the pudding surface with the back of a spoon if needed. A flat surface makes it easier to arrange the toppings.

2. Add the Edible Grass

Place a small handful of green edible grass across the top of the pudding. Spread the grass gently so the pudding is lightly covered.

The grass acts as the base of the Easter basket and gives the Peeps dessert a colorful spring look.

3. Place the Peeps Bunny

Insert a Peeps bunny into the pudding. Push the bottom of the marshmallow slightly into the pudding so the bunny stands upright.

The bunny should sit in the middle of the edible grass as if relaxing inside a tiny Easter basket.

4. Create the Twizzler Basket Handle

Take a Twizzler candy and gently curve it into an arch shape.

Press one end of the Twizzler into the pudding near one edge of the cup.
Press the other end into the opposite side so the candy forms a curved handle above the bunny.

The pudding cup now begins to resemble a miniature basket.

5. Add Chocolate Eggs

Place chocolate mini eggs around the bunny on top of the edible grass.

Two or three eggs usually fit nicely inside the pudding cup while keeping the basket design visible.

6. Serve or Refrigerate

Serve immediately or store the pudding cups in the refrigerator until dessert time.

These pudding baskets look wonderful on an Easter dessert table or as a fun after-dinner Easter bunny treat.
