How To Make An Egg Carton Turtle Craft
Make these adorable recycled egg carton turtles! They are perfect for an Earth Day craft or for any time of the year!

Materials
- Egg carton cups (1 per turtle)
- Dark green acrylic paints
- Light green acrylic paint (for the spots)
- Colorful fuzzy chenille stems (for the head)
- Small green pom-poms for legs
- Googly eyes
- PVA glue or hot glue (for stronger hold)
- Scissors
- Paintbrushes
- Water for paintbrushes
Instructions
- Prepare the shell• Cut out one cup from the egg carton.
• Trim any uneven edges so the shell looks neat.
- Paint it• Paint the entire shell green and let it dry.
• Add small light green spots using the paint.
• Allow it to dry completely.
- Make the head from a pipe cleaner• Take a pipe cleaner and twist it into a tight round shape to form the head.
• Tuck in any loose ends for a clean look.
• Glue the googly eyes onto the pipe cleaner head and let them set.
- Attach the head and legs• Glue the finished head to the front of the shell.
• Glue 4 small green pom-poms to the underside — these are the legs.
