Create a fun B is for Bee paper craft that helps children practice letter recognition and fine motor skills through a hands-on Letter B craft for kids.
● Yellow construction paper
● Black construction paper
● Pencil
● Child-safe scissors
● Glue stick or school glue
Draw a large uppercase B on yellow construction paper. Cut out the B carefully along the lines. The yellow letter will form the bee’s body.
Encourage slow, steady scissor movements to support fine motor development. The uppercase letter B craft for kids has broad, easy curves that help kids develop scissors skills.
Step 2: Create the Black StripesCut several thin strips from black construction paper. These strips will be the bee’s signature stripes.
Glue the black strips horizontally across the yellow B. Allow the ends of the strips to extend beyond the edges of the letter.
Once the glue dries slightly, trim off any excess black paper hanging over the sides. This step creates clean edges and gives the bee a consistent look.
Step 3: Add WingsDraw and cut out two simple oval or teardrop shapes for wings. Wings can be cut from black paper for a bold look or white paper for contrast.
Flip the letter B over and glue the wings to the back so they peek out from the side.
Step 4: Make AntennaeCut two thin black strips with a small circle at the end for antennae.
Glue the ends of the antennae to the top center of the B. Once flipped over, the antennae will extend upward like a cheerful little bee exploring a garden.
The uppercase letter B craft for kids is now fully complete; a stripey bee reinforcing the connection between letter shape and sound.
