DIY Dinosaur Easter Eggs

  1. Cut the dinosaur spikes.

  2. Create flaps for gluing.
At the base of each triangle, fold a small flap backward so it can be glued to the egg.
  3. Cut a tail shape.
Cut a curved tail from green construction paper. Fold a small flap at the base of the tail.
  4. Attach the spikes.
Apply glue to the folded flaps and attach the triangles along the side of the egg to form the dinosaur’s back.
  5. Glue on the tail.
Attach the tail to the end of the egg using the folded flap.
  6. Draw the face.
Use a black marker to draw two small eyes and a smiling mouth on the front of the egg.

DIY Dinosaur Basket

1.  Add Paper Grass to the Basket

Start with a basket and fill it with paper grass. The grass creates a soft nest that supports the toys and gives the basket a layered look.

2. Place the Dinosaur Plush in the Back

A plush dinosaur with bunny ears makes the perfect centerpiece. Place the plush in the back of the basket so it stands up behind the other items. This visually establishes the dinosaur themed Easter basket right away.

3. Add a Dinosaur Board Book

Slide a small book such as “Dinos Love Jelly Beans” in toward the front of the basket. A dinosaur story adds an educational element and encourages quiet reading time.

4. Include Dinosaur Toys

Add a few toys to create variety in the dinosaur themed Easter basket.

Arrange the toys around the plush dinosaur so each item is easy to see.

5. Place the DIY Dinosaur Easter Eggs

Tuck the DIY dinosaur Easter eggs next to the dinosaur plush. Position some of the dinosaur craft eggs upright so the spikes and tails are visible.

6. Attach the Printable Easter Tag

A printable Easter tag finishes the basket with a personal touch.

Instructions:

  • Print the Easter tag.
  • Cut it out with scissors.
  • Use a hole punch to create a small hole at the top.
  • Thread string or twine through the hole.
  • Tie the tag to the basket handle.
