How To Make A Bunny Handprint Craft

Recipe by stacie

This bunny handprint craft transforms a simple hand shape into an adorable bunny, making it perfect for spring or Easter-themed activities. It’s an easy project that kids love and teachers and parents appreciate.

  • Total Time15

Materials

  • Colored cardstock or construction paper

  • Glue

  • Marker (I used purple on the bunnies, but you can choose any color)

  • Sharpie (or a pencil to trace the hand)

  • Optional: googly eyes

Instructions

1. Trace the hand
Trace the child’s hand on colored paper with fingers together and thumb slightly out. Cut the handprint out and cut across the middle finger – this will be the top of the bunny’s head.

2. Add facial features
Use the marker to add inner ears and a nose. A contrasting color works great here, but you can use any color you’d like.

3. Add the eyes
Glue googly eyes onto the handprint. Finish the craft by using the marker to add bunny whiskers and feet.

4. Fold the arms
Fold the thumb and the pinky finger of the handprint. these will act as the bunny’s arms.

5. Secure and dry
Let the craft dry completely before handling or displaying.
